New Champion...Tempest our puppy!!

This past weekend, we showed out puppy in the UKC...I know...I know people look down upon the UKC, but you know what, in two days she got her champion...I don't know how to write it..since i have been told two things..but here are the two ways:

Int. CH Guardian Angels Texas Tornado
CH Guardian Angels Texas Tornado

she got 5 BOB's, 1 G4, BOW, Best Female

I am soooo happy, she did such a good job for her 3rd show. She LOVES the ring, now if only we can go to AKC and finish just as fast!!!

Hello...sorry haven't been here in a while, life happens so fast. So our little Tempest, 13 months now perhaps could be going into heat???? although there is no signs of her going into heat....if i am correct signs would be both behavioral as well as physical right? Under her anus, her vulva is not swollen...there is no discharge at all....I let titan play with her today, because he who usually isn't the best with other dogs DID GREAT AND LOVED playing with her. She is NOT flagging him at all...he goes to touch her and she rolls over on her back. She just wants to play...he wants to hump (although only air humping) He is 2, she is 13months (with NO plans on breeding the two of them at all) They are only allowed together with supervision because of titan's past...

or could he be air humping because he just realized that he lives in a house with an intact girl???

the one with the 5 kids that was thinking about getting the Weimy "grey ghost" (sorry I don't know how to spell the whole name :-) anyway apparently they have changed their mind and have decided on a German Short-haired Pointer - now correct me if I am wrong aren't they pretty much the same as the Weimy? I read about them and they are hunting dogs and do best as a "hunting dog" they can be extremely energetic and fit well with a very active family. They also can become destructive if they are not "exercised" enough and they do the best with a daily LONG walk or jog, etc. I just think the description is much in line with the Weimy? And they changed their minds about that dog because it is a hunting dog, extremely active, etc? Honestly I am not sure what my friend is thinking but I can only give her advice I can't make her take it. You know the old saying "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make her "think" LOL!!! (I know it's supposed to be drink but I thought this was more "fitting" in this instance. I do have to say though they are incredibly cute as pups and they are supposed to be good with children so that is a definite plus.

Bonnie/Porky babies

Here are pictures of the Bonnie and Porkchop babies at 2 wks 3 days old. One girl is 3 lbs 15 oz and all the others are over 4 lbs. They are very much like thier mother--VERY LOUD!! Very much like thier father--VERY HOT NATURED!!! If they get the least bit uncomfortable, they will let you know!!
The first 3 pictures are of the girls and the last 3 are of the boys.

TCI vs SI

Hi all, well i have a dilemma and i need to know more!

So we decided we would do an SI with fresh semen on Mini when she comes into season next to give her the best chance of conceiving.

The vet agreed with this. But now they want to do a TCI with fresh semen instead of an SI.

Which is better, i would like to hear from breeders the pros and cons of both please

What is a preliminary test mean?

I've been researching mastiffs and the health testing. I have talked to a few breeders. One day in the next year I'd like to buy a mastiff. I've seen a site for orthopedic results. Is a preliminary test part of the results that are on the animal orthopedic site? How come some say preliminary and some say final when you are showing your test results here on this mastiff chat site? Is one better than the other or does it matter? Some mastiff sites have no test results for the dogs and some have a lot.

I am confused about what the difference is.
