My fiancee and i are looking to add an addition to the family and absolutly love this breed for many reasons . But we are trying to be very careful with breeder selection . We have heard way too many horror stories and really would like to hear a few testimonials from satisfied owners . We live on Long Island so anyone know of any breeders near us that can recommend ? Thank you and all imput is appreciated .

Kelly Verbridge - Harvest Haze Mastiffs
Williamson, NY

I like her dogs, and I like Kelly. I don't know if she's expecting anything soon, but she should be able to point you in the right direction and at least give you some referrals if she's not expecting puppies any time soon.

If you click on the logo at the top of this site, Jann has made a list of breeders who health test, are members of MCOA, and or do cystinuria testing. There is a link to show them by state as well:  http://mastiffs.org/Map.html

I agree with above....stay away from LARGE kennels in NY state. Look for tested, healthy, happy Mastiffs. Don't get overwhelmed with stories of who is better and bigger. Go with your head not your heart so much. Do your homework and visit the MCOA website if you can. Watch for contracts that are longer than the Bible. Good luck finding your new best friend...they are the lion of dogdom and the search should be pleasant and informative...
