Shelly,
On the memorial thought, why couldn't the Mastiff owners she helped start something like that in her name?

It could be like "Danny's Fund" to CHF or even a slush fund at the clinic she worked at for animals that may not have $$$ for tx.

I wonder if we can get a fund together that the family could use to get her website back up and running.  A memorial that it stays up a long as possible.  The links for email could be taken off, so family is not obligated to answering questions etc.

Her website was made out of love, every mastiff owner that came upon her site found it useful.  I would love to see it back up and running.

Jenn,
That's a great idea, too. However, I am already sharing the articles with everyone that asks so that we have them on MULTIPLE websites and Mastiff groups.

We have included them in the PNMF Information Packet that we used at the Meet The Breed last weekend (all except those pertaining to breeding) and I think the Board is looking at having them permanently on the group website as well.

I went on the internet tonight to research the best kind of food for my senior Mastiff as it seems like her eating habits are changing as she ages. I got her a year ago and she was seven and a half years old. (I am her 5th owner but 100% new what i was taking on when i got her, in fact i spent 9 months looking for the right dog to adopt given my home life and kids needs/abilities to care for a dog. She will be with us for the rest of her days as she is the most amazing dog ever!) I came across doctor Smiths articles and have read several and when I found this forem I was very excited to learn more from dr smith. I am very sad to realize that dr. Smith has passed but the information I read from her articles is far more in-depth than anything else I have found on the internet and my Mastiff will be a happier better dog for it. I also recently adopted a senior dachshund and my freinds joke that I'm the geriatric unit for dogs but its been awesome watching them together and with the kids. Both these dogs have given my children something tangible to hold onto through rough life issues and it was amazing to see the exact things i thought about my mastiff in dr. Smiths articles.

She will continue to help beyond what she ever thought and i just wanted to express my sincere thanks for the articles and info i derived from her articles! ❤❤❤
