Hi, my name is Terri and I just recently joined this board.  I have been reading all the posts and have even posted one or two myself, so I finally decided to introduce myself.

I have 4 Mastiffs, 3 of which I show.  Our 1st Mastiff came from a BYB and I didn't know squat about the breed when we bought him.  Thankfully, he has no health issues, and has the sweetest disposition.

I have included a couple of pictures.  The first one is of my puppy Callisto as a new champion.  She championed from the 6-9 Puppy Bitch class at the age of 8 months, 7 days (owner handled all the way!)

The second picture is a collage I created for a calendar our web group had made.  (The pictures are not current ones.)  The top left picture is Callisto (1 yr old yesterday), top right is Grizzly (now 18 months old), bottom left is Kodi (2 yrs. old), and bottom right is Hercules (5 yrs. old).

I hope to meet some of you in Houston.

Hello All

I am Chandra and we have Zoe and are seeking a playmate for Zoe.  We would love the opportunity to rescue/foster/adopt.

We live on an island in southern Florida and are loving every second of it!

Hi, all, I too have been lurking a bit, and decided to join.  Looks like a wonderful place full of good people and information.

First, hellos to Colin, Shawna, Meredith, Mindee (I'm sure I've forgotten or overlooked someone, so sorry!), nice to see you guys here.

Kat!!! How've you been, girl?  How's that big handsome Harry boy these days?

I am also a bit past 27, single, no skin kids.  Lots of hairy ones, though.  Eight cats, including two Maine Coons, a female Giant Schnauzer named Vita, and my mastiff Hagrid.

I'm slowly, slowly, slowly putting the wheels in motion to get another mastiff pup.  As Hagrid didn't come from a, let's call it "dedicated breeder" (friends who had Mom and Dad, had two litters, then had Mom fixed), I'm doing my research this time around.  Hagrid is just past about four and a half, and I know so much more about the breed than I did when I got him.

He's my baby, though, and I love him dearly.

I kind of stumbled across the breed.  My friends knew I was looking for a pup when the second litter was on the way, and asked me if I wanted one.  I really didn't know much about mastiffs, but the more I researched, the more I liked what I was finding out.  I'm a mastiff lover, through and through!

Hope to learn a lot from you guys!

Hi there,
Thanks so much for joining and telling us about yourself.  It sounds like you're a very busy person.  I hope you enjoy our board - anything you've ever wanted to know about a mastiff can probably be found here.  Take care.

Welcome to all the new folks. Wow! I haven't visited this thread in awhile. Moeky, I am so sorry for your loss. No one can tell you when it will be right for a new puppy or a rescue. I lost two of my beloved companions in 2006 though and was devastated. I thought I'd be content with the two I had remaining, but I just couldn't resist a Johnny pup so now I'm at least back up to 3. And I adore my new little girl. She'll be huge in no time, so I'm trying to savor her puppiness.
Panz, Mindee and Chandra, it's so fantastic to see you've joined here. I look forward so much to catching up with you. I've missed ya'll!

Hi. I'm Kate. I'm a middle school foreign language teacher here in MA. I have Bixby, a black brindle female from CapeWind Mastiffs. She lives with me, my husband Dave and our 18 month old daughter. She also lives with 5 other dogs (a Pit mix, a GSD, 2 Border Terriers and a Berner/Pyrenees mix) and two cats.  I feed the dogs raw and have been for 8 years now.  I love it and so do they.
Unfortunately I found this site due to the tragedy that has befallen the MacDonald family. I look forward to learning from all of the mastiff people here. So far it seems like a very caring community.
Take care.

Hi
My name is Angie - my family and I are owned by a Fawn Mastiff - Stella Dawn.  Debbie from Lacelle's Mastiffs sent me this link - I'm glad she did.  It's nice to see that other people are as over the moon with their Mastiffs as we are!!
Five years ago my family and I had the good fortune to get a pseudo rescue - an apricot female - Keeper.  She immediately fit in with our two kids, Sheltie and cat - and for two and a half years was a wonderful addition to our brood.  She developed bone cancer and died three weeks after diagnosis.  We were hooked on this breed - in came Lacelle's Stella Dawn - Stella to us.
She is now 180 pounds of love and she immediately became the newest member in our home.  Three years later and our first experience with breeding - on the 20th of February, Stella became a proud mom of seven puppies - one fawn girl and six brindle - three and three.  They are adorable.  Lacelle's Remember Romeo is the proud sire.
Below is a webshots link to some recent pics and the second link is to our under construction website.

Thanks for this website - in between kid and puppy duty I will be back!
thanks
