I also do alot of volunteer work and  do child advocacy and crisis counseling. I love my life just wish I had more hours. Our animals are the greatest gift in our family. No where else are you going to get the unconditional love that they give. Well enough for now. I have posted new baby pictures of Lexa on another thread so check her out.

Lots of love and licks to all....Laura

Hello, my name is Jody Baker and August 2006 we welcomed Ollie into our home @ 10 months old.  My husband wanted a Mastiff for years & after my bloodhound passed away in February of 06 I decided to let him have his way!  We had been talking to Sue @ Day Dream Acres for a couple months waiting for a puppy and she emailed me on a Thursday that one of her puppies from her last litter needed a home and wanted to know if we would be interested.  She emailed us photos that same night and my husband said let's go get him and we did...that Saturday!!  My husband is a waterman, he crabs, oysters, fishes etc and Ollie goes with him to work on the boat every day and loves it.  They are so close I tell everyone that he married Ollie & not me, I'm just the 3rd wheel! He is spoiled rotten! I love taking photos and look forward to sharing them with everyone.  He turned one on Halloween so we threw him a little party and I had a special cake made for him!  The last photo is of Ollie & his brother Dickens on the left Thanksgiving Weekend.

Welcome all. It's so nice to have you here. Thanks to the newbies who've posted pics and I can't wait to see the pics from those who haven't yet!

Katie, I need you to go to my parent's in Edmond with that adorable puppy so they can see that mastiffs are wonderful creatures. They haven't ever met mine yet because I live so far away, but they think I'm nuts for having such big dogs.

Hope I'm doing this correctly --  My name is Pat, you can see my bio at an other-wise lagging web page, http://www.threemermaids.com , I live in Nevada and am waiting to get my very first Mastiff puppy.  Like many of you, I have researched this forever, and right now my house is full of 'big dog' stuff.  In my house are also Juarez, a 33-year-old Amazon Yellowhead parrot, and Rio, an 8-year-old Catalina macaw who thinks he is a dog.

Hi Ya'll!!! I guess it's time to introduce myself. My name is Todd Raymond. My wife, Lynda and I live in Fairbanks, AK. with our combined family, Cassy 19, Keegan 18, Kaylea 14, Tyler 13, and Tahnee 11. I found this board while searching for info on the mastiff. We own what we believe(according to looks and temperament) is a 5 y/o mastiff mix. His name is Kilo and I adopted him from the local shelter 4 years ago. My wife and I both currently are employed at Fort Knox Gold Mine just north of Fairbanks. http://www.kinross.com/op/mine-fort-knox/index.html
We are wanting to add another member to our family and decided that a baby was out of the question : )) We fell in love with the mastiff breed over days and days of reading up on them. Now we are determined to make our dream come true.

Alright, it's time to introduce myself also.      Jamie of CedarHollow Mastiffs invited me to join quit some time ago and I've been just lurking and reading.

I am Kelli in Anchorage, Alaska and I am owned by 2 big lug heads, Obstgarten's Triton Le' Moose CGC (7.5 yrs old) and Ch. LaMar's Kodiak Grizzly Bear CGC (4.5 yrs old).  I have been Rescueing this breed for about 10yrs or more and I love it!  I also have a 7.5 yr old cat (well, actually she's my daughters), a 2 yr old dutch lop-eared bunny (also my daughters, lol), and 2 teenagers, Rian almost 17yrs and Justine almost 16yrs.  Oh yah, and the hubby thingy here too.    I coach Comp Volleyball for Junior Varsity, so I'm running to practices, I show my dogs, I work full time for a Law Enforcement Agency (so can have lots of overtime), plus have to try to find time for "family time" and "Kelli time".  LOL   I will try to figure out the "picture" thing another day but I will post some.    Thank you Jamie for inviting me.    Hi Todd and Lynda!  I know y'all want a puppy badly, but listen to those on this list...they know what they are talking about when they say "the right one will come along".  Be patient.  I know...easier said than done!
