How many years does the frozen last - is their a percentage as the years go by that the count drops?

Jann, in theory, the number of years sperm is frozen should not affect the quality.

Not sure exactly what specific information you're looking for, but I'll give it a shot.  I've had several of my boys collected and frozen at one time or another.  They must be permanently identified w/ microchip or tattoo first, and also must be AKC DNA registered (note, AKC is slow about this, so do it way in advance - several months).  There are certain AKC registered semen banks that are allowed to keep frozen sperm.  ICSB is a popular group here on the East Coast, but there are others.  Collection, spin, analysis, freezing/storage can cost anywhere from $300 to $700 depending on who you use.  You can get anywhere from 1 to 10 breedings, with 5 being the average (10 or 11 straws, and usually 2 straws are used for one breeding).
