hi barrie,

try 'airplane' to get her to stack.

put some really yummy treat between your thumb and forefinger (and do i wish i had some software that i knew how to use that would draw, i am horrible explaining airplane!).

put your hand up by your shoulder with the thumb/treat/forefinger facing out and your elbow bent and against your body - it might feel a little awkward.

bob your arm (from the elbow - keep your elbow against your body), like one of those plastic birds that perpetually 'drinks'.

the instant she is still, shove the treat into her mouth.  as you shove it, run your thumb down the side of her mouth between her teeth.  this will also teach her that fingers in her mouth are a good thing (smile).

if she starts jumping around, keep moving with her and bobbing your arm.  eventually she will give up and try being still so be patient.  be very patient!

repeat a million times until she is standing still as soon as you place your hand up by your shoulder.

do not try to lure her to be still - you'll have to lure for life.

i had a malamute self stacking in about 5 minutes, but he knew the 'game', i.e. he knew had to do something to get the treat, he just had to figure out what and i didn't help him, he figured it out himself and that's the best(smile).

when she's learned to stand still, the rest is a piece of cake(wink).

have you taught her any self-control stuff like puppy zen?  rev up/cool down?
