Emmett doesn't need more height!  His height is fine at 13 months. Sangria just shot up past her mom. Zaria hit a rut in weight and height.

Same here, Liz.  Both Homer and Bling have plenty of height and so do their kids.  I wouldn't want to see more height than what is proportional to the dog b/c that's when you start seeing Dane looking Mastiffs.

My boy tank had his height by 12 months. His width growth went stagnant from 14mo on, but now his head is growing and he is muscling up nicely.

Duke has plenty of height but I expect him to grow a few more inches.  He is steadily growing along in both muscle and height. He shoots up fast when his wrists get extra knobby looking which they are right now so Im expecting a major growth spurt in the next week. His first show is in three weeks, I hope the judge doesn't mind if he is sporting that skislope look.

I got everyone done about 2 weeks ago, trying to remember exactly here ...

Sunny 25 months 150.3

Kaia 10 months 148.3

Libby 7 months 108.1 (at 30+")

Thanks for the update (and reminder) Angie!

I'm not sure how it happened but as of yesterday Ernie was 195lbs he looks the same to me but seems he outgrew his collar overnight I had to make an extra hole in it so I brought him for a weigh in. It's the first time he's been over that chart so he's a little more then I expected. It's always good to know for the hundred of people who ask all the time.
Someone actually said to me the other day that they hoped for my sake he wouldn't get any bigger

Not sure what's going on but he is 202 today...I don't *think* he's fat. He might me 1/2 inch taller but I would not dare say for sure - I fear over exaggeration and will make a habit of staying away from 1/2 inches.
I guess this is a growth spurt then. I am not used to him being off that chart and it is strangely discomforting - I liked being able to accurately predict his weight and could do so for a good 6 months. Now I never have any idea with only his tight collar giving me clues.

It is Delhia's 8months birthday today and she is 155lbs.... this girl is HUGE!

BTW, Maddox is in a growth spurt too.  I will bring him to the vet to see how much he weights but, definitely, he gets bigger, ask for more food, and it is the first time since months that I see his paws getting bigger also (he's a little over 2yo).

My pup is six months old today and is only 86lbs. today and 28" at the withers. We think we are feeding him ok and he is healthy. Maybe he will fill out eventually to the standard.

Weighed my boy this morning, 10/15/07 ,and he now weighs 98 pounds and has hit 29". Anita told me not to panic that all Mastiffs grow at their own pace, Good advice for all novice owners like myself.

My puppy(englishmastiff) is almost 8 weeks, but only weighs 14 pounds, and he has really small paws.  My friend has a dogue de bordeaux, he is 8 and a half weeks and weight 20 pounds and has huge paws, whats this mean, will my little guys be smaller?  And the weights I have been seeing and picts scares me a little.  Here are a few picts of Zeus at 7 weeks, and weighing then about 13 pounds.

ahhh, Zeus is adorable.  You should ask your breeder about his parents, grandparents, other dogs in the line.  That will give you an idea of what to expect when he is grown.  Be so very patient and remember he needs not to be fat, but lean as he grows those bones and joints.

My littermates George and Dreamer weighed about 15 pounds at 8 weeks out of a litter of 8 pups.  Dreamer now weighs 165 pounds and gaining at 16 months.  George is about 175 at 16 mos.  Monty weighed 20 pounds at 8 weeks and weighs about 155 at 23 mos.

George and Dreamer's Daddy Hoss weighed 15 pounds at 8 weeks and is now at close to 3 years old 245 lbs.  Check your pups pedigree, that might help.  Be patient - he'll grow!!  He's a cutie.

Zues is precious!!!  My Mongo weighed 13 pounds at 8 weeks. He is now 12 weeks old and weighs 25 pounds, already doubled in size. I belive what Monica said, check your pedigree, that should give you some idea of what to expect.

Well I have 2 mastiffs, a boy and a girl.  my girl is 3 months old and she weights 25 pounds.  I got my girl from a real good breeder http://www.mtcmastiffs.com  her father is Royal K's Semper Fi Angus.  Angus weights 240 and her mother Suzie weights 195.  I'm not sure If I'm doing anything wrong with her not weighting what the average mastiff weights.  Please let me know what you think?

Well after writting my post yesterday, I figured I would weigh him today, and my baby Zeus weighs 17 pounds, he`s gonna be 8 weeks tomorrow.  His Dad is 230 and mom is 170, so I guess he wil be big.  I was just wondering cause his paws arent huge and Ive been reading too many other puppy weight at his age.  Thanks everyone, I will surely send more pics when he is bigger.

P.S.  I just love this message board,  I`ve gotten so much info in the last few days.

Hello everyone, I am a new mastiff owner.  I have two mastiffs, a 7 month old and a 3 month old.  My seven month old weight about 90 pound and my 3 month old female weights about 25 pounds.  Is there weight normal?  I have asked my vet and he said it normal, but I see lots of other mastiff who are real big.

Thanks.

My little guy Molson weighs in at a itty bitty 8 lbs at 8 weeks. Is this normal?? I thought he was fine until I got on the MBs & saw Mastiff pups weighing 20 lbs at 8 weeks! Molson has had a vet exam & he is healthy. We saw both his parents when we got him & both were big dogs. But his breeders were feeding him that nasty Science Diet food. Could that be the problem? Or is my boy just a runt?

Whoa! Slow down Molson's Mom! Yes your baby is small compared to some here, but that doesn't mean he won't grow! He will be what his genes tell him to be so long as he is provided with healthy food and water as well as environment, and most importantly love!

They all grow differently (according to thier particular lines), and if at all possible you should discuss this with his breeders. They should be there for you and all of your questions (if not it's not the end of the world, but they should have the most accurate information pertaining to the lines that they are breeding).

There are far worse foods than SD, so that probably isn't the case. He may be the runt, but that shouldn't account for a difference for very long. Check with the breeder first and go from there!

And feel free to ask as many questions as you like, but you will get better answers if you start appropriate threads.
