I read somewhere that a mature mastiffs weight is twice its weight at 6 months +/- 5%. How does this sound? Believeable or BS?

Here's the Age/Weight Graph for the Homer & Bling litter that Clinton made for me.  Note that "Piglet" was/is Miss Muffet.   It's a WORD Document.  If anyone can figure out how to paste it into the post, I'd be most grateful.  I couldn't get it to work.

You know, she dances all around when we call her PIGLET!  I think she prefers it to Miss Muffet!  Clinton, do you know how to get that graph into the post?  I tried and couldn't make it work.

Looks to me like Duke and Piglet are having loving sibling competition and of course Pierre - being the dignified boy that he is is sneaking up from around the backside Pretty nice, steady growth chart you guys.

Aside from "how much does he eat?", "how much does he weight?"  is the big question I always get and when  I say  "I don't know" people are disappointed so just for all these folks I brought him in today right after that we got asked a bunch on our walk in the park and I was pleased to say - Why I just weighted him about 20 minutes ago and he's 168.
He'll be 11 months of the 29th so looks like his weight is pretty much keeping to this chart. I don't think I'll be weighing him again until his b-day.

I took a look at this thread again and realized that Delhia is one heavy girl!
I am really surprised to see this because most of the puppy I see on pictures seems to be soooooo much more chubby than her.
But... at 8.5weeks, she was 32lbs.  Now, at 10.5 weeks, she is 43lbs!! Wow!

My Libby was 65 pounds at 15 weeks and she is so, so scrawny.

Is there any type of height chart out there?

I am curious about the pups like Libby who grow tall before they get bulky, she is 24 inches and growing an inch a week right now.

My daughter saw her for the fist time this week and argued that she is a Dane not a Mastiff she is so tall!

Looks like we will have to build our own, I never could find any height data.

I guess this means it's time to haul the girls down to the vet again?

I am afraid to take my Lab (chocolate), he looks like he might explode . . . the kids have decided we should put a white clown collar on him and another by his tail for halloween and he can be a tootsie roll! Poor guy!

I'll post the results as soon as they are in.

I think Ernie just grew in the past few days but not in height. He's an honest 31" and he'll be 1 next week.........What are the odds of him gaining another inch in height I wonder????? I'd really like him to hit 32" for no other reason then it being a nice reasonable hight. How much height have other folk's boys gotten after their first b-day I wonder????????????

Cole was 31 at 12 mo and still hasn't gotten any taller. Everyone keeps telling me he can still grow to 18 mo or more so we shall see. No problem in the weight though. He was 186.8 at 12 mo. and 195 at 14 mo.

They usually are done growing in height by age 2 yrs of age, but I have had a few get taller even after that.  I've also had Mastiffs continue to mature until age 6.

Do you think that the height is coming from bone growth or muscle mass?

definately bone growth.  Trust me, your boy is going to grow a few more inches in height.
